About the project
The job portal SimplyJob wanted to improve their existing dashboard where companies manage their job posts and applications. The current dashboard was not so easy to use, didn’t work on phones, and lacked SimplyJob’s visual identity. My initial task was to make the applications easy to use on mobile devices without adding and removing features. Later on, I also designed several new features and pages.
Reviewing the current solution
To begin with, I reviewed the current solution. It became clear to me that I should remove unnecessary features and simplify the design in order to make the dashboard easier to use.
Testing my design
The SimplyJob team was used to working in the dashboard and had insights about the users, as they were providing technical support to them. So I held some meetings with the team, where I got feedback on my wireframes to ensure that the design would be user-friendly. The feedback was positive and I proceeded to the next phase.
A simple, yet powerful visual identity
I chose a minimalistic feel to create a simple experience that would appeal to a broad target group. I decided to use few colours, so that the powerful red brand colour could really shine.
Hiring made simple
My redesign resulted in a more intuitive interface, enabling recruiters to hire smarter and faster. In the en I had simplified the applications page, made the whole dashboard mobile-friendly, made it easy to manage jobs, and optimized the overall experience with UX optimizations.
